
Basketball players, cheerleaders and dancers chose a staff member to thank as part of Teacher Appreciation Night. Teachers wore the athlete's jersey to the boys basketball game, Over 30 teachers were recognized between games and had desert with their student. This wonderful event is organized by Ms. Wamble, the head cheer coach.





Ms. Jump’s Biology class experimented with yeast , warm water and sugar to observe the production of carbon dioxide and modeling respiration in a cell.

Mrs. Crenshaw and Ms. Hull took the Speech and Debate team to the tournament at Scott City High School School on Thursday. We had seven students participate in the tournament and four place in the top three of their events.

The junior class took the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)today. It measures students developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success.



Mr. Essner's students were researching about drainage basins in Earth Science! After their research they worked on a Google Slides Presentation.





Mrs. Woodson's class worked on Multiplying a Monomial by a Polynomial Scavenger Hunt today at CHS.



We can't wait to welcome our students back for 2023 on Wednesday, January 4th! We hope all of our students and their families had a wonderful winter break. Here's to making 2023 a fantastic year!


Students entered a drawing by providing proof they had submitted their FAFSA. Winners were announced today!


Spanish II students drew a person and used action verbs to describe different parts of the body.





CHS held a celebration on Tuesday for all the seniors who are graduating early and some family members joined in on the celebration. Good luck seniors! (More pictures to follow in the Facebook comments)


Cadets worked from 9am-4pm on Saturday sorting, organizing, and bagging toys for the annual Toys-4-Tots campaign. Their effort will help over 3000 children in Southeast Missouri receive toys for the holidays.



Ms. Dupes AP Chemistry class made a crystal forest to celebrate the upcoming winter break and reinforce their knowledge of oxidation reduction reactions.





Mr. Jake White came and talked to Mrs. Taylor's College Readiness class about his college experience.


Cadets supported the Marine Corps League in their annual Toys-4-Tots drive at Schnucks on Wednesday night. They will be there again tomorrow night and working at warehouse all day on Saturday.



Some of our CHS seniors got the opportunity to spend the day at Trendsetters. They received hands-on experience at Trendsetters School of Cosmetology & Barbering.


Mrs. Schnurbusch's class gave back to the community and donated cat food, paper towels, dog treats, and bags to Southeast Missouri Pets. They also enjoyed learning how to react, pet and play with the cutest puppy, named, Almond! Learning is fun!




CHS Social Studies teachers are having a blast learning and being able to bring new tools and materials back to school Monday!





The sophomore class toured the CTC on Thursday to be educated on the classes that are offered to students before they make their schedules for next year.





Sarah Shaheen, Jeffrey Turk and Dylan Dush will be participating in the All-State Band Auditions Saturday in Columbia! Best of luck, Tigers! We are so proud of you!
